Muskegon Metro Area News

It's time to get in the holiday spirit, and whether you're headed out to cut down that Christmas Tree or pull the artificial one out of the attic, we all love setting the scene for the season.  What if you could have a professionally designed Christmas tree for that special area of your house or office that you could treasure for years to come?  You might want to think about stopping by the Muskegon Museum of Art!

The 14th annual Muskegon Museum of Art's Festival of Trees kicks off November 21st and runs through December 2nd (closed on Thanksgiving).  It's the public's chance to bid on beautifully decorated trees that have been professionally designed with the help of community donations.  The museum's assistant director Cathy Mott encourages everyone to stop by the museum during the 11 days of the festival as special programming, raffles, music and gift items will be available for guests.  Then, feel free to bid on the trees at anytime during the 11 days!  If you're the winning bid, the museum will help carefully wrap the tree for you so it's ready to be placed at your home or business/
